Grand Union 250th Tee

The Grand Union Flag, also called the Continental Colors, was the first de facto flag of the United States (1775-1777), featuring the British Union Jack in the canton (top corner) with 13 alternating red and white stripes, symbolizing the colonies' initial loyalty to Britain while aspiring for self-governance. It blended British heritage with colonial unity, first flown by John Paul Jones on the USS Alfred and later by George Washington, paving the way for the Stars and Stripes.
